Doesn’t matter if you love or hate your job, stress hits you at one point or another. The good thing is that you’re not alone. Being stressed in the aviation industry is a common problem that is ignored by aviation personnel. People tend to believe that by reveling that there stressed shows weakness.

  1. Communications

Stress levels rise when there is lack of communication about the problem. This is seen especially in professions that have dead lines like in the aviation industry. Lacking communication about stress can make matters even worst.

Being supported by a manager or someone in charge can be a real stress reliever. If ever feel there is a lack of communication go and ask your boss for a meeting and talk about the problem. It’s normal to feel unconfutable doing it, but such a meeting can severely lower your stress levels and will make a stronger working relationship. After the first time talking about the problem will be easier and drastically improve your condition.

Simple thing like not responding to mails and lazy instructions for the job can result to stress. Some of the stuff that happen aren’t in you control so you must learn to let them go. Sometimes the boss won’t even know about your this but giving him a gentle nudge can lead to a road in the right direction.

  1. Overloading

Heavy overloading is a big contributor to your stress levels at work. Not having the right communication about work can result in large stress levels. Without communication about the workload, you can end up not meeting targets, which is seen bad in the employer’s eyes. You’re human being not a machine. Its fine to talk to your boss about the work load and that sometimes it’s just not possible. Again, we go back to communication. Something else is that it’s normal to ask for help. It’s better for you and your employer that you share this so that you don’t resign from high stress levels.

  1. Give and take

Another important thing is teamwork everybody should be doing their part. If you’re a good worker and your team is slacking you may be pulled in to doing other peoples loads. Having a good team lifts that problem. If you’re the only person working you need to start distributing task. Have a meeting with the manager and tell him about the workload, tell him what you do and what others, but you should have evidence. The chasses are that they will take a lot at the problem and make adjustments because it’s in their best interest as well. There is no problem in going above you job description but make sure that you can handle it with your ambition you overheat.

Clear communication is key in a working environment; a lack of this, combined with an excessive workload, unrealistic deadlines and unmotivated colleagues can ultimately spike your stress levels. The good news is these can all be solved. Stress needn’t rule your life, and it shouldn’t. Your manager, colleagues and HR department are all there to support you. Solutions are available and, if utilized, stress will be a thing of the past.
